Typophile Film Festival 5 Opening Titles

Typophile Film Festival 5 Opening Titles from Brent Barson on Vimeo.

Via Type Theory.

"Everyone eats & drinks, but few appreciate taste". Love this video! I've seen quite a few stop-motion films, but none have come close to this standard. I'm still trying to figure out how they did some bits..

5 reasons to dress-up for halloween

Because you can be whoever you want to be and people will forgive you for being that way.

Because you can dress-up your pets too.

Because you have the license to be ugly (and look like an architect gone wrong). Chin Nyap, this one's for you!

Because everyone's going to hate you if you come like this. Kimberly, if you're reading this, argh someone's done this already!

Because it's the one day of the year when you can truly believe that your butt looks great.

Zsofi +the One-Eyed Monster

Here's a design I've just done for Zsofi. Mr One-Eyed Monster started out as an oval with an eye and that silly 'ohh' mouth. But Lynds found me some inspiration and suggested some sort of growth for the monster. That growth turned out to be tentacles. In case you're wondering, no, he isn't an octopus. 6 tentacles only. You can go count.

And of course, you're all invited. :)

In the spotlight today: MWM Graphics. And the mastermind behind these eye candies are no other than Matt W. Moore (MWM), from Portland, Maine. What I found more Striking about MWM was his amazing range. He's done designs for just about everything, from sheds, to bicycles to clothes and even fine art paintings. I've always believed that artists became famous by carving a niche for themselves, most often in a particular medium. But Moore just breaks this mould with a consistent style that seems compatible with any surface its covered in.

I've always loved monochrome graphics with jap inspired patterns. They attract my eyes like magnets. Literally.

The '4 seasons' snowboard designs. The 4 seasons theme may be a little overworked, but Moore has such a unique graphic representation of it. They resemble microchips and all the wiring that comes along. He also makes good use of the long narrow space which is probably quite difficult to work with.
